WHAT?

“Orthodox Cruises” organizes a conference / pilgrimage cruise to Alaska every 2 years, with the blessings of the Orthodox Bishop of Sitka and Alaska. The next edition of this cruise is schedule for September 2017 (). Reservations (on a first-come first-serve basis) start on June 22, 2016.

WHY?

This cruise (the third edition) is a unique opportunity to join a group of 50 Orthodox Christians on a rich conference-pilgrimage cruise to the amazingly beautiful and inspiring land of Alaska. You will be able to enjoy daily lectures (2 or 3 per day!), group visits to Juneau (Saint Nicholas) and Sitka (Saint Michael’s cathedral + the Bishop’s house), as well as encouraging fellowship.

WHO?

The 2017 speakers will be Fr Michael Oleksa (Diocese of Alaska, OCA) and Fr Laurent Cleenewerck (Diocese of the West, OCA). The travel agent is Dalianes Travel () based in Eureke, CA. Anyone can attend, but only by making travel arrangements with Dalianes Travel. It is not possible to participate in the lectures and events if booking the cruise by any other means.

WHEN AND WHERE?

The cruise (Holland America) sails from Seattle on Saturday September 2, 2017 and returns to Seattle on September 9, 2017. The ship goes to Glacier Bay, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchekan and Victoria BC.

HOW MUCH?

Typically, a couple will book a stateroom as the prices are presented on a double occupancy basis. In most cases with cruises, published prices do not include port fees and taxes, but our rate sheet does so as to avoid all confusion and bad surprises. Staterooms start at $1,654 per person ($3,308 for a couple).
